Someone else reported bugs sending mail from VM with CVS Emacs on MS-Windows about a week ago. I suspect both problems are caused by recent changes to the MS-Windows implementation of network functions to support the :nowait and :server options to make-network-process. -- Jason Rumney <address@hidden>
