1. Please use gnu.emacs.help to ask user questions.

2. I don't recommend using truetype fonts that do not contain fixed-size
   variants because the Mac emulation code for these fonts isn't
   complete (since we're on a developers list, I invite everyone to work
   on it), but if you must, do something like this:

M-x set-frame-font RET -apple-lucida 
grande-medium-r-normal--12-0-75-75-m-0-mac-roman
