The front page of http://savannah.gnu.org/ says "CVS not available",
as of 16th September.

  Under heavy maintenance, the CVS server is not accessible right now.

When they say "posted here" they actually meant "posted in the page
linked from this headline", but I understood it differently.

I have a checkout now and I'll send an updated patch.
