Note that `display-supports-face-attributes-p' is called that because it's a
per-display attribute, but it seems like the set of image-libraries loaded
is pretty much a global emacs thing.
[Whether or not a particular display supports images _at all_ is of course
display-dependent, and there's already a function for that --
display-images-p]
