More likely, from the Help buffer after typing `C-h ?' or `f1 f1':

a command-apropos. Give a substring, and see a list of commands
(functions that are interactively callable) that contain
that substring. See also the apropos command.

Note that this description is incomplete. It says nothing about
patterns, word lists or regexps. Maybe it is simple enough for
beginners. But it might be confusing for beginners if after reading
this description and typing `a' they will see a prompt asking for
"(word list or regexp): ".
