I meant of course how they should know that EMACS_22_BASE exists. And
that this is what will be released.
It isn't what will be released. What will be released is what is
_tagged_ as the release, and once it is tagged, there will be a
tarball for it. If we are in the process of being close to a release,
we also have pretest tarballs.
People who are dealing on a regular base with Emacs' CVS are also told
to read emacs-devel to know what they are dealing with.
And sorry, if you have not noticed by now by the ongoing discussions
on emacs-devel that there is an EMACS_22_BASE branch that is going to
be used for releasing Emacs 22.1, then no amount of additional
handholding is going to help you.
