What about this new keybinding: C-x _ `shrink-window' As we already have: C-x - `shrink-window-if-larger-than-buffer' C-x ^ `enlarge-window' AFAIK C-x _ is currently free. Perhaps it's because I'm a heavy user of the ratpoison window-manager (which is very emacs-friendly), but I think it's logical to expect a keybinding for the twin of `enlarge-window'.
