For people who for some reason have problems accessing the site,
org-mode received 5% (867) of the votes, finishing second-to-last,
beating Lancelot.


This is already remarkable by itself, as it is difficult to consider Emacs "mainstream". And org-mode is "just" one mode, further reducing the target audience. Not to mention people that use it but haven't heard of the award.
