User-agent: Wanderlust/2.14.0 (Africa) SEMI/1.14.6 (Maruoka) FLIM/1.14.8 (Shijō) APEL/10.6 Emacs/22.3 (sparc-sun-solaris2.8) MULE/5.0 (SAKAKI)

The seventh update of the Carbon+AppKit port is now available from

    ftp://ftp.math.s.chiba-u.ac.jp/emacs/emacs-22.3-appkit-1.7.tar.gz

** Fixed bugs

*** Command-Control-D doesn't pop up dictionary on Mac OS X 10.6.

*** Iconified frames aren't considered visible.
Reported by Benjamin Riefenstahl.

*** Can't make iconified frames invisible.

** Improvement

*** Fall back on mac-system-coding-system if script and language
information is not available in text input events.

The second update of the Mac port, which is experimental/hackers-only,
is also available from

    ftp://ftp.math.s.chiba-u.ac.jp/emacs/emacs-23.1-mac-1.92.tar.gz

In addition to the bug fixes and improvements above, it has the
following experimental feature (only for Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard):

*** New implementation for the `select' emulation using Grand Central
Dispatch instead of CFSocket. It is enabled by default if built for
Mac OS X 10.6. If you find it unstable/problematic, then you can turn
it off by compiling with "-DSELECT_USE_GCD=0".

There is a change in how to report bugs. Please read `README-mac' in
the tarball.
