If several methods are simple and fairly similar to CVS, the Quick
Start recommendation does not have to be the one that is absolutely
simplest or absolutely most similar to CVS.  If another that is also
rather simple and rather like CVS is better in some other way,
it is ok to use.

So there is no a priori reason to change it to suggest lightweight
checkins.
