I've implemented that for HTML-CSS, HTML-JS and HTML-Ruby, in mmm-erb.el, which were the language combinations that interested me at the time.
Since the (C, Python) pair doesn't unambiguously define the indentation logic of mixed-mode buffers, someone should write support for the actual template languages they're used together in.
