Whether they are suitable as quotes in Emacs is for us to decide.

That article may provide pertinent information or arguments, but it
has no authority over us.  In the GNU Project, we do not consider
outside standards as decisions or commands; rather, they are part of
the context in which we consider what is the best thing to do.
