This bit confuses me:
+This variable can be useful for modifying low-level TLS
+connection parameters (for instance if you need to connect to a
+host that only accepts a specific algorithm), but general Emacs
+network security is handled by the Network Security Manager.
The "but" part confuses me: did you mean "however", perhaps? That is,
did you mean to say that the default is nil so that the NSM could do
its job under user control?
