Why? It's a weird command to begin with. Try 'C-h f' then press SPC
repeatedly. You will see a line of dashes.

Regardless, if you take it away you break my workflow.  That's why I

resist it.

(and I never to the space in the beginning thing, so it doesn't affect me)
