Maybe another, minor, consideration: There are
likely many references to parts of the manual
out there, beyond Emacs (e.g. on web sites).

In some cases a reference might be just textual,
e.g., "(eintr) Yanking".

In other cases it might be a URL to the manual
on line, e.g.:

https://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/manual/html_node/eintr/Yanking.html

(URLs can be redirected, of course.)
