Please don't assume your usage-based scoring idea is going to be good for everyone. Some like that, some don't.

In fact, it's going to be _terrible_ for discovering an API, simply because the user hasn't already used something he's looking for, yet.

In the meantime, we have a few existing filtering/scoring algorithms that people use already. And the request for prefix-based naming is borne out of that usage.
