File sharing (macOS and GNU/Linux)

Hi folks,

I'm looking at contributing macOS file sharing upstream 
(https://debbugs.gnu.org/cgi/bugreport.cgi?bug=76120).

In a nutshell, the feature enables sharing files with other 
devices or apps. I've attached a couple of sample screenshots of 
the macOS feature.

To ensure GNU/Linux parity, I would like to know if a similar 
feature is already available to GNU/Linux Emacs users?

If such a feature doesn't exist for GNU/Linux Emacs users, are 
there volunteers keen to make this happen on GNU/Linux? While I 
can contribute for macOS, I'll need a GNU/Linux buddy to help with 
the equivalent.

Anyone interested?
