Sorry I shuld have mentioned that. It's GNU Emacs 24.0.50.1
(i386-mingw-nt6.1.7600) of 2010-10-18 on windows 7 Home Premium

I use the one from gnuwin32. It says tar (GNU tar) 1.22.
