I am getting the same error. I'm using the Org mode that comes with
Emacs (“GNU Emacs 23.4.1”).

The backtrace from the error is:

What setting can I change to fix this? I would prefer to continue using
the same Emacs and Org mode as I'm not the only one using these
programs on the machine.
