I meet exactly the same problem.

I just followed this web-page : http://emacs-fu.blogspot.ca/2009/10/writing-presentations-with-org-mode-and.html

but surprisingly I do not succeed to change the beamer theme. I do not get for example CambridgeUS.

Your help is welcome.
