[O] Beamer export: no alert command

Eric S. Frage explained that an @alert@ could be used in order to highlight specific parts of the text (http://orgmode.org/worg/exporters/beamer/tutorial.html).

However, exporting it to a PDF doesn’t convert the @alert@ to a highlight. Was there a change in versions?
