Thanks John, this is working extremely well.

For the records, this is what I'm using -

│#+OPTIONS: H:3 toc:t \n:nil ::t |:t ^:t f:t tex:t
│#+LaTeX: \setcounter{secnumdepth}{0}
│#+OPTIONS: toc:2
