That's what I feared as well.
Is HAVE_POSIX_MEMALIGN defined in src/config.h ?
If so, what happens if you undefine it ?
Also can you compare the byte-size of the dumped `emacs' executable
before and after the change ?
Finally, can you try to edit src/alloc.c and set BLOCK_PADDING to something
like 16 ?  What about with 64 ?
