i.e. 2.3.2), messages about the following variables not being bound
are spewed:

With Carbon windowing:
x-use-underline-position-properties
x-stretch-cursor
x-bitmap-file-path

In addition to that, with "emacs -nw":
mouse-autoselect-window
selection-coding-system nil
