Hi Dave --
Writing to you since your name bears the last changelog entry
for international/mule-cmds.el --please pass on to the
appropriate developer if you're not it.
As of yesterday CVS Emacs on Linux has become unusable for the
following reason --
For some reason it want to treat files to have coding system
iso-2022-7bit --
and worse it happily puts a lisp style line at the top of the
file.
As anexample open a new file
find-file /tmp/test
type this is a test
and hit save to see what I mean.
the file now contains
;; -*-coding: iso-2022-7bit;-*-
this is a test.
this is *evil*!
--
Best Regards,
--raman
