Sorry for the delay.
Apparently, Sun's ld on sparc-sun-solaris2.7 doesn't silently ignore
-z options it doesn't recognize. Instead it craps out with a fatal
error:
ld: fatal: option -z has illegal argument `nocombreloc'
ld: fatal: Flags processing errors
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[1]: *** [temacs] Error 1
Also, as a minor nit, should #undef LD_SWITCH_SYSTEM_TEMACS be moved
up outside of the #ifndef __GNUC__ branches so it's always done?
