`char-displayable-p' returns nil for Japanese jisx0208 characters
even though they are displayable for me:
(char-displayable-p ?元) ==> nil
It seems to happen because `x-list-fonts' is called with the pattern
"-*-*-jisx0208.1990".
On my system all appropriate fonts end in "jisx0208.1990-0". The
character above is displayed with
-Shinonome-Gothic-Medium-R-Normal--12-110-75-75-C-120-JISX0208.1990-0
In GNU Emacs 21.3.50.26 (i686-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.0.2)
of 2004-03-26 on defun.localdomain
configured using `configure '--with-gtk''
