    Installed,

I reverted that change.  save-selected-window and with-selected-window
have to record and restore selected windows of all frames because
selecting a window can change any of them.


I did not see the original question because it was at the end of a
message about a specific topic that I did not need to read.  I don't
have time to read all the messages that are sent to this list; many of
them are about specific issues I don't need to study.

When you post a general patch and say "does anyone object", please do
not put it at the end of a message about some more narrow topic.
Always put it in a separate message.
