This bug report will be sent to the Free Software Foundation,
not to your local site managers!
Please write in English if possible, because the Emacs maintainers
usually do not have translators to read other languages for them.
Your bug report will be posted to the address@hidden mailing
list.
Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:
When trying to compose a mail via M-x mail the mail buffer does not
show up. Instead I get the error message `Opening output file: no
such file or directory, /home/Gudrian/#*mail*#1824XsA#'. The file
name differs from call to call, of course.
If I turn off auto saving, composing mail works. However, auto saving
itself works perfectly for ordinary buffers.
In GNU Emacs 21.3.50.1 (i686-pc-cygwin, X toolkit, Xaw3d scroll bars)
of 2004-06-11 on apollo
configured using `configure '--disable-maintainer-mode' 'CFLAGS=-O2
-march=pentium4' 'PREFIX=/newroot''
