I don't know what JFTR stands for, but that's ok. ;)
In Gnus v5-10, the order of `mm-mime-mule-charset-alist'
determines a priority. It bears a strong resemblance to the way
of SEMI. OTOH, I've made `mm-coding-system-priorities' take
effect also for XEmacs in No Gnus. Since I thought it wasn't a
bug fix but a new feature, I refrained from merging it to v5-10.
Is it better to do it? It isn't troublesome for me.
