Why exactly is `buffer-menu-mode-hook' not good enough?

When the Buffer Menu is reverted, `Buffer-menu-revert-function' runs,
which calls `list-buffers-noselect', which calls `Buffer-menu-mode',
which runs `buffer-menu-mode-hook'. Hence, `buffer-menu-mode-hook'
runs whenever the buffer is reverted. Does it run _at the wrong time_
for what you want to do, or did you just forget to check?

Sincerely,

Luc.
