Yes, thanks. Emacs doesn't crash with your patches.
Since Emacs doesn't crash now, I can see that there are some
problems related to scrolling inline images in the Gnus *Article*
buffer: after typing M-> Emacs displays images in the reverse
order, and after 3 sec it redisplays them in the correct order.
Also while scrolling images line by line, it doesn't allow window
scrolling. But these problems are minor, and you may be already
aware of them.
