Hello!
First GNU Emacs from CVS would not finish because encoded-kb.el could
not be found, so I went to make Emacs with a lengthy invocation with a
set up long EMACSLOADPATH. The it seems that cus-edit.el was require'd
but not found. So I added it to the list in loadup.el, plus wid-edit.el
that seems to be required by cus-edit.el. No compilation ends with the
error as mentioned in the subject from 'make all' in the src directory
as
LC_ALL=C ./temacs -batch -l loadup dump

How can I make temacs debug the reason for that error? --debug-init
comes to late ...
