Hello!

First GNU Emacs from CVS would not finish because encoded-kb.el could not be found, so I went to make Emacs with a lengthy invocation with a set up long EMACSLOADPATH. The it seems that cus-edit.el was require'd but not found. So I added it to the list in loadup.el, plus wid-edit.el that seems to be required by cus-edit.el. No compilation ends with the error as mentioned in the subject from 'make all' in the src directory as

        LC_ALL=C ./temacs -batch -l loadup dump
        Loading loadup.el (source)...

        Loading buff-menu...
        Loading emacs-lisp/float-sup...
((49682 . 10912) (10336 . 0) (584 . 61) 70792 148228 (56 . 10) (17 . 12) (5069 . 1798))
        Loading vc-hooks...
        Loading ediff-hook...
        Loading wid-edit...
        Loading cus-edit...

How can I make temacs debug the reason for that error? --debug-init comes to late ...
