gtk scrollbar problem

[emacs user]

problem: when I have several windows open and then kill some of them (this 
mostly occurs when I exit reading mail in vm), the scrollbars are not 
updated and appear only where one of the previous windows was.  Please see 
attached jpg file for a screenshot.  I cannot reproduce this in a simple 
test case, but it happens quite a bit.  Am using latest CVS version as of 
today.
