fontification problem in tuareg mode

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

The problem manifests itself when using tuareg mode for ocaml files.
Tuareg isnt part of emacs, and I dont know if the problem exists in
Tuareg only, or in emacs.

I think its in emacs, therefore this bug report.

Tuareg mode converts certain sequences like "fun" to a lambda symbol.

When using emacs in X, there is no problem.

When running emacs on a unicode enabled console, the "fun" converts to
a lambda symbol alright, but the cursor behaves oddly when moving
after the symbol. Since the underlying sequence is 3 characters, and
the converted symbol is only 1 character, insertion of new charactes
will happen 2 steps to the left of the cursor.




If emacs crashed, and you have the emacs process in the gdb debugger,
please include the output from the following gdb commands:
    `bt full' and `xbacktrace'.
If you would like to further debug the crash, please read the file
/usr/local/share/emacs/22.0.50/etc/DEBUG for instructions.
