It probably was my fault. I checked with xrdb the Emacs specific X
resources today and found this object without right hand value:
Emacs.menu.attributeBackgroundPixmap:
Removing it the message disappears.
So it's clear why no bitmap file name was added to the directory's
[file] name.
Do we understand why the error message did not contain the file name?
Was it because the file name was the empty string?
We should make the error message clearer, but how?
