But it's there again in my own, self compiled Carbon Emacs 22.0.50, that uses the same sources (except some minor C code differences) as the X client one. And the same compiler switches – it could be just a question of optimisation flags!
I'll try a CVS update later this local evening (also to check NeXT) and I'll reconfigure for less optimisation during compilation.
