Where should the build process find the source code?

(Using Doug Lea's new malloc from the GNU C Library.)

Builds and executes without problem. Seems to be tricky to get my
site-lisps (specifically AucTeX with preview-mode) to play nicely in the
few minutes I've spent so far fooling around with it. Looks neat.
