This is from CVS as of 04-Dec-2006. With "emacs -Q":
M-x man RET printf RET
You get a man page. Go down to the "SEE ALSO" section and mouse-1 on
"printf(3C)". Eventually you get the appropriate man page. OK. Now do:
M-x mouse-sel-mode RET
And repeat mouse-1 on an item in the "SEE ALSO" section of the printf(3C)
man page buffer. I get an error "No item under point".
Switch the current (lower) window to show the original printf man page
buffer. Now mouse-1 on any item in the "SEE ALSO" section just displays the
printf(3C) man page buffer in the other (upper) window.
(Interestingly, if I start with "emacs -Q -f mouse-sel-mode", then mouse-1
on "printf(3C)" first raises a buffer-read-only error, then sometimes works
and sometimes does not. I haven't been able to work out what the criteria
is. Hopefully this is just a manifestation of the same bug.)
Simon.
