I can't reproduce it. Does it happen with 1) a more recent CVS Emacs
and 2) emacs -Q? If 1) yes and 2) no, you can probably track the bug
in your .emacs. This is most certainly bad for Emacs to do that if
nobody asked it explicitly.


I can reproduce it here (starting with emacs -Q) on w32 with CVS Emacs from today.
