In GNU Emacs 22.0.93.1 (sparc-sun-solaris2.8, Motif Version 2.1.0)
of 2007-02-05 on perth
X server distributor `Hummingbird Ltd.', version 11.0.100015
configured using `configure '--prefix=/rvcarma/marshals/software/slash/usr/local' '--with-x-toolkit=motif' 'CFLAGS=-g''
I did my weekly CVS update (I had to do a full "make bootstrap") and found a problem with partial-completion-mode. Try:
src/emacs -Q
C-x C-f ~/fub TAB
Where ~/fubar is some existing directory. Emacs completes it OK. Quit and try:
M-x partial-completion-mode RET ; I see it loads advice, naughty?
C-x C-f ~/fub TAB
I see the following in the minibuffer:
Find file: fubar/
Emacs seems to have lost the prefix and operations subsequently fail. I don't see any recent change to complete.el, but I don't have the time right now to dig into it.
Simon.
