Ah, I think this is because we accidentally normalized and mixed in an older version of the audio instead of an edited one. I will look into it later and I'll send you an update once I fix it. Thank you for letting me know!
Hi emacsconf team and Philip,
Thanks for the wonderful presentation on emacs 30 new features. It is
great and I learnt so many cool things from there.
I would like to report on a problem so
After minute 9-10 I started to perceive an audio-video sync problem
Let me prove it with this clear example:
If you go to 16:20 Philip talks and types "with naaatiive
coompilation", but it says it (and you heard the typing) in 16:31,
that's make it little bit harder to follow on certain parts of the video
that are more interactive/dynamic or less static, I think that the
de-sync problem grows more and more as the video follows,
This happens in the default video and the youtube version, I suspect
that is a problem from the source
Nice, the sync problem can be perceived with the media-info command (see
duration video vs audio) [1], and looks like youtube tried to force its
resolution (I mean, it is still desynced, but not reported by metadata)
[2], I suggest that you do a quick test to find other media with this
problem and add it as a sanity check.
Cheers,
pinmacs
