I can't help you with the info stuff, but this definitively looks
familar. The problem is, when emms plays a song, the player for
the old song might still be running and thus blocking the sound
device. There's no easy fix for this - except that you use some
sound system that allows for sharing the sound device (e.g. alsa,
esd, etc.)

My setup is:
(setq emms-player-mpg321-parameters '("-o" "alsa"))
