Are these emms-player-mplayer-* defined by yourself? I've no idea of

First, to set mplayer as your default player, you have to put mplayer to
the head of `emms-player-list', for EMMS will walk through the
`emms-player-list' to find a suitable player.

Second, seek support is based on mplayer's slave mode, by giving mplayer
a command line parameter, "-slave". That's why we have:

(setq emms-player-mplayer-parameters '("-slave"))
