The problem in the above instance is that an MP3 should have the
property (type . file) and not (type . playlist). Now why Emms thinks
that your MP3 file is a playlist I don't know...

Does the rest of the property list make sense? One way of looking at the
property list for a given track is to put point over it in the playlist
buffer and invoking
