Hi,

I tried to compile the next Version 1.10 (using SVN 1239) on a Linux system (glibc-2.7, gcc-4.2.2, kernel-2.6.24.4, SDL-1.2.21, xercesc-2.8.0). JFYI when I run make it stopped with an error caused by texi2html (okay I'm using a quiet old version); you find the output of autogen.sh, configure and make in the attachment.
But I could avoid this error and got the new version. :-)))

Texi2html v1.52 is far too old! Please use a new version like 1.78 as stated in the doc/REQUIREMENTS file.

The new version looks great. :-)))

Thanks :-)

When I checked the new levels in levelpack VII and VIII I got the default error image for the following levels: - VII-89 (Tinker, Tailor): andreas46_3.xml Error message: ...:41:... unknown object name 'st-scissors'
- VIII-3 (Enigma Parcour): mecke15_1.xml
Error message: ...:95:... unknown object name 'it-hstrip'
- VIII-10 (A Screenful of Secrets): mecke01_1.xml
Error message: ...:84:... unknown object name 'st-knight'
- VIII-3 (Helios I): mecke07_1.xml
Error message: ...:56:... unknown object name 'it-magicwand'

Yes - these are new API levels, that are not up to date. You see the last reengieered objects listed. We do update all the levels just from time to time - remember it is the development trunk. We are currently in preparation of another small milestone version which should provide consistent API, levels and refman. I'll make an announcement on this list, when it is ready.

One question: Will it cause any problems, if I send you my score file playing from now on with the new version?

That is o.k and should not cause any problems at all. Note that we do not yet evaluate the scores of the new levels.

Please report any problems, that you notice - especially any unexpected shortcuts.

Greets,

Ronald
