Hi,yes, I can confirm that the problem is based on the vertical screen. Actually, I can reproduce the bug with the current development version of Enigma 1.30: Your screen and Enigma cannot find a single common resolution.
For now, I suggest you play Enigma in windowed mode only. Switch your screen back to normal mode, start Enigma, go to the options page and choose "Fullscreen: No". Exit Enigma, set your screen to vertical mode and start Enigma. It should be fine now, though in a window.
Now that I am aware of that problem, we might be able to solve it in Enigma 1.30. Thank you for the hint!
