I've finished migrating us to use the Savannah project area, which
includes mailing lists. Here is a listing of the various
lists and what they are for.

 - address@hidden: Announcements of releases and security updates
(should there ever be need for security updates)
   Gmane: gmane.emacs.erc.announce

 - address@hidden: General discussion of ERC
   Gmane: gmane.emacs.erc.general

 - address@hidden: Commit logs for changes made to ERC
   Gmane: gmane.emacs.erc.cvs

Anything sent to the erc-announce list will also be sent to the
erc-discuss list.

The commit log messages will be sent automatically by Savannah. I
just now applied for them, so it might take anywhere from a day to a
week for that to begin.

Gmane uses the .cvs name to describe the commit list because that's
what their convention is. It doesn't mean that we use CVS.
