Details:

$ tar -xvzf espresso-3.1.0.tar.gz
$ cd espresso-3.1.0.tar.gz
$ echo "#error" > myconfig.h
$ mkdir build
$ cd build
$ ../configure
$ make

No error as myconfig-final.h from src is used.
