Dear Kai,

Thank you for your answer.

I want to simulate active particles and I have another question about ROTATION property in Espresso.  In a quasi-two dimensional system of particles moving in x-z plane, is it true to set 'rotation=[0,1,0]' to turn on rotations only around y-axis (or in x-z plane)? I have a same problem about rotational inertia.

Best,
Zahra

Hi Zahra,

yes, you can just fix one dimension by using the fix property of the particles:

Long-range
interactions like electrostatics are a different topic though.

Best,

Kai
